Title: Encapsulation technology applied in food, nutrition, aquaculture and breeding


- Establishing expert working groups to coordinate research and training activities to contribute by identifying research agendas for future community research in the field of encapsulation technology applied in food, nutrition aquaculture and breeding.
- The meeting aims at formulating suggestions for relevant research topics. The expert working groups will make suggestions for coming up research topics in the field

  • To organize one symposium or seminar
  • To integrate experts from New Members other than French speaking partners and create a network of encapsulation in the region
  • To disseminate research results through an online platform and to establish new project proposals
  • To initiate and set-up a researchers exchange programme

The topics of the workshop:

-    Encapsulation of hydrophobic compound (traditional plant extract, essential oil …) for uses as functional food for human, fish or cattle.
-    Encapsulation of enzyme, vaccine for oral uptake in aquaculture/ breeding
-    Encapsulation of active compounds to produce bacteriostatic/ bactericide for application in post-harvest, food processing ….
-    Production of encapsulated food for human, fish, cattle ….
-    Improving of engineering aspect in encapsulation research in the region

EBSEA Workshop's Announcement

It is our great pleasure to announce the International Workshop “Exploring Biodiversity for Sustainable Development in South East Asia 2013” (EBSEA 2013), co-organized by Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and Agricultural Research for Development (CIRAD). The EBSEA2013 workshop is a key event of the Pre-project for Interuniversity Scientific Cooperation (PCSI 54410PS202) “Exploring Vegetal and Microbial Diversity and Technological Innovation for Food Quality and Safety”, coordinated by HUST and funded by the Agency for French Speaking Universities (AUF) during the period of 2013-2014.

The purpose of this workshop is to provide an opportunity to share knowledge and experience in vegetal and microbial diversity and biotechnology in South East Asia regions and also to setup linkages and cooperation among scientists and experts in interdisciplinary way.

The topics of the workshop are:

  • Vegetal and microbial diversity of the region
  • Bioactive compounds and their applications in food, aquaculture and pharmaceutical products
  • Innovation in food processing and preservation

EBSEA 2013 will be held on September 16-17, 2013 at HUST, No 1 Dai Co Viet Street, Hanoi, Vietnam.
